Somerville Hip-Hop Trio Ready to Rise
A gloomy sky blanketing Boston’s horizon provided the perfect backdrop for the up and coming hip-hop trio aptly named Dark Cloud Family and Money (D.C.F.A.M.) as they posed stoically for group photos on the private roof deck of a penthouse suite atop the Back Bay Manor in they city’s historic Mission Hill neighborhood. Despite being dressed in all black, group members, Third Degree (Leanis Almanzar), 25, Real Wil (Wilner Alexis), 25, and K Street (Kenny Neff), 24, were all smiles, laughing and joking around with each other in between shots. Nothing out of the ordinary for the childhood friends with dreams far higher than the rooftop on which they stood. Aspirations that they now feel like are on the verge of coming true.
